Learning Objectives
All trainees (teachers) will:
· Be able to identify all instructional technologies available to them and their purpose
· Utilize the interactive whiteboard (Promethean) to incorporate and engage students in meaningful lessons
· Produce professional documents (word processing, graphing, presentation and desktop publishing)
· Perform an effective Internet search and able to identify the validity of the website

Delivery Plan
Delivery Method
The proposed learning solution would be an instructor led class led by the Classrooms for the Future instructor and all other technology staff. The teachers would be grouped according to level of ability and would all have to attend two-day training at some point throughout the school year. Some teachers who are already integrating technology properly could be guest presenters, possibly a teacher from each department, so that the others may feel more comfortable trying to integrate technology. The content of this training would include utilizing the promethean board, producing professional documents, effective use of the internet, and basic identification of all instructional technologies available to them.

Materials and Facilitator Info
The Classrooms for the Future instructor and all other technology staff would be presenting this material. They would need access to the media center with the three available computer labs. They would also need internet access, the Microsoft Office software, a Promethean Board, and any other instructional technology made available to them within the York County School of Technology.

Special Aspects/Costs
Each faculty member will complete two days of training. These days will be during the school year as YCST allows for this type of training. Costs will include the trainers (three trainers at the cost of $700.00 per day and these trainers are all from within are district and require no travel expenses. Other costs will be the substitutes at a cost of approximately $100.00 per day for two days per teacher totaling approximately $50,000. This would total about $52,100 with all costs included.
Evaluation Plan
The training will be successful if students from the York County School of Technology can go into their industry and have the necessary technological skills needed to succeed at their job. In order for this to occur though, the trainees/teachers must first utilize this training being provided to them. In essence, all teachers must be able to identify all instructional technologies available to them and their purpose, utilize the Promethean board effectively, produce professional documents, and use the internet effectively to identify valid research. This will be measured by observation of the trainees. The evaluator will have a checklist of the skills presented in the training sessions and they will mark each skill off the list as it is observed being used correctly in the classroom. The trainees will essentially meet ISTE standards for teachers 2008 such as develop technology-enriched learning environments that enable all students to pursue their individual curiosities and become active participants in setting their own educational goals, managing their own learning, and assessing their own progress and
advocate, model, and teach safe, legal, and ethical use of digital information and technology, including respect for copyright, intellectual property, and the appropriate documentation of sources. With the trainees receiving the recommended trainings, students should also be able to meet the ISTE standards for students 2007 such as exhibit a positive attitude toward using technology that supports collaboration, learning, and productivity and select and use applications effectively and productively.
